Juventus & Inter Milan circle as Red Devils slash valuation for misfiring striker
Manchester United have reportedly placed a €50–55 million (£46.1m–£49.8m) price tag on struggling forward Rasmus Højlund following their painful 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Europa League final.
The 22-year-old Danish striker, who joined for £72 million from Atalanta in 2023, has netted just 10 goals in 51 games this season, with only four in the Premier League — a return deemed deeply underwhelming by the club’s hierarchy.
Juventus are monitoring the situation closely as they seek an alternative to Victor Osimhen or Jonathan David, while Inter Milan have also entered the race after securing Champions League qualification. The Old Lady could make a formal move if top targets fall through.
Despite public backing from manager Ruben Amorim, who praised Højlund’s work ethic and movement, pressure is mounting. Critics like Roy Keane slammed the forward’s performances, claiming he looked “like a young kid just out of the academy.”
With fans furious over the club’s 16th-place finish and trophyless campaign, United are reportedly prepared to shake up the squad — and Højlund could be one of the first casualties.
