After Ansu Fati… another Barcelona star receives a h,arsh shock from Hansi Flick.

Barcelona Begin Squad Overhaul: Pablo Torre Told to Find New Club by Hansi Flick

As Barcelona begin their preparations for next season under new manager Hansi Flick, the club has launched a significant restructuring process aimed at aligning the squad with the German coach’s tactical vision. A major part of this overhaul involves offloading players who are either underperforming or do not fit into Flick’s strategic plans.

In collaboration with the club’s sporting department, Flick has already identified a group of players who could be shown the door during the upcoming summer transfer window. This initiative also serves to reduce the wage bill and make room for new signings better suited to the team’s evolving style.

According to El Nacional, one of the early casualties of this shake-up is Pablo Torre. Flick reportedly held a frank conversation with the young midfielder, informing him directly that he is not part of the plans for next season and encouraging him to pursue a move elsewhere.

Torre’s exclusion is not entirely surprising. Despite showing flashes of talent and delivering solid performances in limited appearances, his opportunities were few and typically came only when regulars like Pedri, Gavi, Fermin López, Frenkie de Jong, or Dani Olmo were unavailable. With strong competition in midfield and few injuries, Torre’s chances of regular minutes at Camp Nou were always slim.

Even though Torre maintained professionalism and discipline, he was never truly integrated into the main rotation. Recognizing this, Barcelona’s management—led by Joan Laporta and Deco—is now open to letting him leave permanently rather than loaning him out again, ideally aiming to recoup the €5 million they spent to sign him in 2022.

While some La Liga clubs have expressed interest, the most concrete links point toward Serie A, with Como reportedly making moves to secure his signature.

The final decision rests with Torre, but it’s increasingly clear that his time at Barcelona is drawing to a close. Supporters now wait to see if he can flourish and fulfill his promise elsewhere.
