Liverpool Eye Milos Kerkez as Kostas Tsimikas Exit Nears
Liverpool are poised to overhaul their left-back options this summer, with Kostas Tsimikas likely to depart—paving the way for a potential move for Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.
Multiple reports, including those from transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, confirm that Liverpool are actively pursuing Kerkez, with talks currently underway. Journalist Lewis Steele recently estimated that there’s an 80–85% chance Tsimikas will leave Anfield in the coming months.
Speaking in a YouTube update, Steele commented: “There’s been a lot of chatter about Tsimikas moving on this summer, and it now appears quite likely. He’s been inconsistent at times, but fans appreciate his energy and he’s well-liked in the dressing room. Still, with Kerkez being seriously considered, this seems like the natural time for a change.”
Kerkez’s potential arrival would add to a busy summer of activity for the Reds. The club recently finalized the signing of right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, who is expected to take over from Trent Alexander-Arnold as the latter prepares for an early switch to Real Madrid to take part in the Club World Cup.
Liverpool are also targeting a marquee signing in Florian Wirtz, per The Athletic. Kerkez, just 21, would bring fresh energy and long-term potential to the left side of defence, potentially overtaking both Tsimikas and even veteran Andy Robertson in the pecking order.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, may be bracing for further exits. With Dean Huijsen already confirmed to be leaving and players like Antoine Semenyo attracting attention, the Cherries could see more turnover before the window closes.
