Luis Díaz Pushes for Barcelona Move Amid Liverpool Uncertainty
Fresh off a historic domestic treble, Barcelona has set its sights on European glory—and Luis Díaz may be the next key piece in their ambitious rebuild.
According to Football365, the Colombian winger has personally approached Liverpool’s board, urging them to lower his transfer valuation to help facilitate a move to the Camp Nou this summer. Díaz, who currently earns £55,000 per week, has reportedly expressed a strong desire to join Barcelona, even signaling willingness to reduce his own financial demands to make the deal happen.
Díaz is said to be a priority target for new manager Hansi Flick, but Barcelona’s well-known financial constraints mean a straightforward deal is unlikely. As a result, the Catalans are exploring creative solutions—including installments, deferred payments, or player swaps—to meet Liverpool’s asking price.
Liverpool initially valued Díaz at €80–85 million, but internal talks have begun about lowering that figure, particularly if it helps fund a move for Florian Wirtz, another big-money target. With interest from Saudi clubs also emerging, Liverpool could entertain offers in the £50–70 million range.
