Liverpool Sign Hungarian Talent Milos Kerkez in £45M Deal from Bournemouth

Liverpool have completed the high-profile signing of 21-year-old Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth in a deal worth £45 million. The young defender has signed a five-year contract, keeping him at Anfield until the summer of 2030.

Kerkez stood out during his debut Premier League season with Bournemouth, attracting interest from top clubs across Europe thanks to his blistering pace, aggressive approach, and composure beyond his age. Ultimately, Liverpool emerged victorious in the battle for his signature, outpacing both domestic and European rivals.

The signing marks another major step in Liverpool’s squad revamp following the departure of Jürgen Klopp. With veteran Andy Robertson now past 30 and ongoing injury concerns at left-back, Kerkez arrives as both a long-term solution and a strong contender for immediate inclusion in the starting lineup.

Upon joining, Kerkez shared his excitement:

“Joining Liverpool is a dream come true. The club’s history, the fans, and the winning mentality are just incredible. I can’t wait to play at Anfield and compete for trophies.”

Liverpool’s sporting director also praised the acquisition:

“Milos is someone we’ve tracked for a while. His energy, technical ability, and drive fit perfectly with what we expect from a Liverpool player. At 21, his ceiling is very high and we’re confident he’ll thrive here.”

Kerkez will wear the number 21 shirt and is set to link up with the squad for pre-season immediately. His arrival has already generated excitement among fans as Liverpool prepare to defend their Premier League title and aim for more success across all competitions.
