All offer rejected Barcelona young star will stay at the club

Hansi Flick’s arrival at FC Barcelona has brought noticeable improvements across the squad. While star names like Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Pedri, and Lamine Yamal have commanded most of the spotlight, several less prominent players have also stepped up under the German coach’s guidance.

Among the most improved is Ferran Torres. Though not a consistent starter, Torres showed his value when stepping in for Lewandowski, delivering dependable performances. Another major standout is midfielder Fermín López, who finished the 2024/25 season in impressive form. Over 46 appearances in all competitions, he tallied 8 goals and 11 assists, displaying maturity and consistent quality.

However, despite his progress, López’s starting role for next season is far from certain. With fierce competition in Barcelona’s midfield, his situation has sparked interest from several top clubs across Europe.

According to Ben Jacobs (via Mundo Deportivo), Bayern Munich have made an approach for Fermín López, offering him a more prominent role in their squad. The Bundesliga giants are reportedly willing to invest up to €50 million to secure the midfielder. However, López has made it clear that he has no plans to leave Barcelona at this stage of his career.

In addition to Bayern, Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli also submitted a substantial offer, but López has no interest in joining the Saudi Pro League.

The 21-year-old remains fully committed to Barcelona. He signed a contract extension in October 2024 that keeps him at the club until 2029, with a €500 million release clause. A product of La Masia, López joined Barça’s youth academy at age 13 and steadily climbed through the ranks. His breakthrough came during a loan stint at Linares in the 2022/23 season, where he impressed with 12 goals and 4 assists in the Primera RFEF.

Now focused on cementing his place in the first team, López is determined to continue developing under Hansi Flick’s leadership and fight for his role in Barça’s crowded midfield.
