Liverpool, on the brink of securing the Premier League title, are reportedly preparing a £95 million double transfer raid on Bournemouth as manager Arne Slot looks to reinforce his squad for a demanding summer ahead.
Reports indicate that Slot’s transfer agenda includes bolstering several key positions: left-back, centre-back, right-back, striker, and attacking midfield. Despite a quiet debut transfer window — with only Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili brought in (Chiesa rarely featured and Mamardashvili remained on loan at Valencia) — Slot has steered Liverpool to the top of the league.
This time around, Liverpool are expected to be far more aggressive in the market. The club is said to be targeting Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, a key player on Slot’s wishlist, as well as centre-back Dean Huijsen. Huijsen’s £50 million release clause could reportedly be activated in three instalments, easing the financial burden.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are seriously pursuing both players in a combined £95 million deal, amid competition from rivals such as Chelsea and Arsenal. Kerkez is valued at around £45 million, as Liverpool prepare for the eventual transition from 31-year-old Andy Robertson, whose form has begun to wane.
As an alternative to Huijsen, Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is also on Liverpool’s radar, although a cross-city transfer may present complications.
In addition to defensive reinforcements, Liverpool are targeting a new striker and attacking midfielder — particularly with Darwin Núñez’s future up in the air. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have expressed interest in several Liverpool players, including Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott, and Ben Doak. Kelleher is widely expected to depart once Mamardashvili officially joins the squad.
