Liverpool close to ‘sensational swap deal’ with Napoli featuring Osimhen

Napoli Close in on Double Swoop for Nunez and Chiesa — Pending Osimhen’s Move to Liverpool

Napoli are reportedly nearing a sensational double signing from Liverpool, with both Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa said to have agreed in principle to join the Serie A club ahead of the 2025–26 season.

According to Italian journalist Gerardo Fasano, both players have given the green light for the move. However, the transfers hinge on one key condition: Victor Osimhen must complete a proposed move to Liverpool.

Should the Nigerian striker make the switch to Anfield, it would represent a massive reinforcement for Liverpool’s front line and pave the way for Nunez and Chiesa to join Napoli.

Struggles at Anfield

Darwin Nunez endured a difficult season in the Premier League, scoring just five goals in 30 appearances — a notable decline from his previous campaigns. Federico Chiesa, who arrived from Juventus, also failed to find his footing under new manager Arne Slot, featuring in only six league matches during a frustrating spell.

Conte’s Rebuild Gathers Momentum

Napoli’s interest in the duo reflects manager Antonio Conte’s intent to revamp the squad as he targets a competitive push in both Serie A and the Champions League. The club has already pulled off one major coup this summer by landing Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City on a free transfer — a move that stunned European football.

Talks in Progress

Negotiations between Liverpool and Napoli remain active as both clubs look to finalize terms. If the deals go through, it would mark a significant shift in Liverpool’s attacking setup and further underline Napoli’s ambitious summer strategy.

A successful outcome would be a major boost for Conte’s side and could signal a new-look front line for both clubs next season.
