Fabrizio Romano Confirms Milos Kerkez Deal as Liverpool’s Fourth Summer Signing
Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, according to Fabrizio Romano, marking the Reds’ fourth signing of a busy summer transfer window.
Fresh off their Premier League title under Arne Slot, Liverpool continue to bolster their squad. The club have already brought in Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and agreed a club-record deal for Florian Wirtz, who is expected to finalize his move imminently.
And now they have added Hungary international Kerkez to the mix. Romano gave the transfer his trademark “Here we go!”, confirming that personal terms had already been agreed in May. Liverpool delayed completing the transfer to focus on the higher-profile Wirtz and Frimpong deals but have now finalized terms with Bournemouth for a reported £40 million.
Kerkez shone last season on the South Coast, netting two goals and registering five assists across 38 league games. The 21-year-old is set to undergo a medical shortly before signing a long-term contract at Anfield.
His arrival raises questions over the futures of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. Robertson has attracted interest from Atlético Madrid, while Tsimikas is being tracked by Leeds United as he seeks more regular game time.
In addition to Kerkez, Frimpong, and Wirtz, Liverpool have also completed the signing of highly-rated Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi — underlining their commitment to securing both immediate reinforcements and long-term talent.
