Darwin Núñez Responds as Liverpool Exit Confirmed, Amid Growing Doubts Over His Future

Darwin Núñez has spoken out following confirmation of a Liverpool departure, at a time when speculation about his own future at Anfield continues to intensify.

The Uruguayan forward struggled for regular game time under Arne Slot last season, starting only eight Premier League matches.

Football Insider recently reported that Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are keen on signing Núñez, though it remains unclear whether the striker is open to a move to Saudi Arabia or would rather stay in Europe.

At the same time, The Athletic revealed on Tuesday, 24 June, that Serie A title holders Napoli are expected to table a bid for the 26-year-old in the near future.

Darwin Núñez has shared his thoughts after Nat Phillips left Liverpool to complete a move to West Brom.

New manager Arne Slot has already been active in the transfer window, bringing in Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

However, as the Dutchman looks to further bolster his squad, he’ll need to offload some existing players to make room for additional signings.
