Man Utd star set to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr with deal ‘close’

A Manchester United star is reportedly close to signing for Al Nassr and could be playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United face a summer of change after a disappointing campaign.

The Red Devils, determined to bounce back, have already begun reshaping their squad. Wolves forward Matheus Cunha has arrived at Old Trafford, while Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo is also being targeted as part of United’s rebuild.

Meanwhile, several high-profile departures could be on the cards. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho have all been linked with moves away, as United look to trim their squad.

And now, reports suggest that Brazilian midfielder Casemiro might also be heading for the exit.

According to Sport Jazirah, via Utd Report: “The #AlNassr club is close to signing Brazilian player Casemiro, the Manchester United midfielder, during the upcoming summer transfer period, and sources indicate that negotiations are at an advanced stage.”

Casemiro, who arrived from Real Madrid in 2022 for a reported £60 million, has made 125 appearances and scored 17 goals in a United shirt. But after two inconsistent seasons and mounting scrutiny over his performances, United could be prepared to cash in on the 33-year-old.

As the club looks to rebuild for the future, this summer promises to be one of significant turnover — with big decisions to make at Old Trafford.

A Manchester United star could soon be teaming up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr, as reports suggest Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is on the verge of a summer transfer.

Following a disappointing season, United are expected to overhaul their squad. Matheus Cunha has already joined from Wolves, and the Red Devils are also pursuing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo as they look to strengthen.

Several United players, including Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, have been linked with exits — and Casemiro could be next.

“The #AlNassr club is close to signing Brazilian player Casemiro, the Manchester United midfielder, during the upcoming summer transfer period, and sources indicate that negotiations are at an advanced stage.”

Casemiro, 33, joined United from Real Madrid in 2022 for a reported £60 million and has made 125 appearances, scoring 17 goals. However, his performances over the past two seasons have faced scrutiny, and United are believed to be open to his departure.

If the transfer goes through, Casemiro will reunite with Ronaldo, who looks set to remain in Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo’s current contract expires on 30 June, but Al Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro recently told reporters they’re working to extend the superstar’s stay:

“We are negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo to renew his contract. God willing, we will find a solution,” Hierro said in May.

With Al Nassr pushing to secure both Ronaldo and Casemiro, this summer could mark the next big chapter in United’s rebuild — and one more big-name reunion in Saudi football.
