Liverpool Reach Agreement to Sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli
In a major move this summer, Liverpool FC have reportedly agreed a deal with Napoli to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The transfer is expected to be worth between €75 million and €80 million, significantly below the €130 million release clause in his contract, which runs until 2027.
Osimhen, 26, has been in outstanding form during a loan spell at Galatasaray, netting 24 goals in 27 appearances. His performances attracted interest from top clubs including PSG and Manchester United, but it is Liverpool who appear to have won the race.
The striker is set to undergo a medical in the coming days, with an official announcement from the club anticipated shortly.
Liverpool see Osimhen as an ideal addition to bolster their attacking options, bringing much-needed pace, power, and a clinical edge in front of goal—qualities that were inconsistent in their frontline last season.
The agreement signals the club’s ambition to revamp the squad under Arne Slot, with Osimhen expected to play a central role in Liverpool’s new-look attack heading into the 2025/26 season.
