Harvey Elliott Open to Liverpool Exit — Brighton Prepare £40M Bid, Chelsea Watching Closely”

Chelsea Keeping Tabs on Harvey Elliott as Brighton Lead the Chase

Chelsea are among several clubs monitoring Harvey Elliott’s future, as the Liverpool midfielder could be on the move this summer.

The 22-year-old England U21 international has struggled to secure a regular starting role at Anfield, and sources close to the player suggest he may be open to a transfer in search of more consistent minutes.

Liverpool are reportedly open to letting Elliott go for the right price, with an asking fee believed to be around £50 million.

While Chelsea have expressed interest, Brighton & Hove Albion have emerged as the most proactive suitor. Multiple reports indicate the south coast club have made Elliott a top target for the summer and are preparing an offer in the region of £40 million.

An insider familiar with the situation said, “Brighton’s pursuit is the most advanced so far. They see Elliott as a key addition and are confident they can provide the regular first-team football he’s looking for.”

The presence of veteran midfielder James Milner — a former Liverpool teammate of Elliott’s — is also seen as a potential factor in smoothing the transition to Brighton.

Other interested clubs reportedly include Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Borussia Dortmund, but Brighton are currently considered the frontrunners.

Chelsea remain in the background and could still enter the race. The Blues are known for aggressively targeting emerging talent, though it’s unclear whether Liverpool would sanction a sale to a direct domestic rival. Additionally, Elliott might face similar competition for playing time at Stamford Bridge as he does at Liverpool.

For now, Brighton appear best placed to secure the young midfielder, with a formal bid expected soon. Should Liverpool decide to cash in, Elliott could be set for a move that prioritizes development and playing time over prestige.
