Liverpool Fans in Frenzy After Private Jet Sighting Amid Isak Transfer Rumours
Liverpool supporters have been buzzing on social media after tracking a flight departing the UK, sparking fresh speculation around a possible move for Alexander Isak.
Following last seasonโs Premier League title triumph, Liverpool have been active in the transfer market, bringing in Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez. Yet, the transfer links donโt stop thereโnames like Marc Guehi, Rodrygo, Hugo Ekitike, and Isak continue to swirl around Anfield.
On Tuesday, a major update came from The Athleticโs David Ornstein, who revealed that Liverpool have officially approached Newcastle United regarding the Swedish striker.
He wrote:
โLiverpool make approach to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
#LFC say no formal bid + well aware #NUFC stance has always been: not for sale. But communicated interest in deal for 25yo Sweden international worth in region of ยฃ120m.โ
This revelation set social media alightโand less than a day later, fans were tracking a private jet that had taken off from Merseyside and landed in Innsbruck, Austria, where Isak and his Newcastle teammates are currently based for pre-season at FC Seefelder Plateau.
Excited supporters quickly speculated that Liverpool may be moving fast to finalise a record-breaking deal for Isak. However, some were quick to pour cold water on the theory, noting that the aircraft in question belonged to Tyrol Air Ambulance.
One fan pointed out: โItโs an air ambulance lol.โ
Another dismissed the coincidence, saying: โItโs just a coincidence.โ
Others couldnโt resist poking fun, with one joking: โMaybe he could do part of a medical on it.โ
Another sarcastically added: โAhh of course, Liverpool are gonna give Isak a medical in the air, are they?โ
What Has Isak Said About Liverpool?
Earlier this year, Isak spoke about how much he enjoys playing against Liverpool.
Speaking to The Gazette, he said:
โI really enjoy the games against Liverpool, because I think theyโre not too different to ourselves.
A high-pressing and a direct team, which can lead to many counter-opportunities, and thatโs the game I like. I think Iโve had pretty good success before, I feel good and enjoy playing against them.โ
He also praised the Anfield atmosphere, telling Sky Sports:
โAnfield is good, very good. I think their average level is very high in the Premier League.โ
As speculation continues to mount, Liverpool fans will be keeping a close eye on both flight trackers and transfer news feeds, hoping the Swedish forward might soon be flying in for real.
