Liverpool Transfer Roundup: Ekitike, Isak, Diaz & More
Liverpool are ramping up their transfer activity this summer, with key developments surrounding striker Hugo Ekitike. The Reds have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Eintracht Frankfurt forward, following the opening of official negotiations. Talks are ongoing between the two clubs, and while a formal offer has been made, the Bundesliga side initially rejected it. However, Liverpool are expected to meet Frankfurt’s £86 million asking price, and Ekitike is said to be keen on the move.
With Newcastle United pulling out of the race, the path is now clear for Liverpool to complete the deal. Ekitike has even submitted a transfer request to help facilitate the move. The striker, who scored 22 goals in 48 appearances last season, is viewed as a key target under new manager Arne Slot.
This potential signing could coincide with the exit of Darwin Nunez, who is now linked with Newcastle, and Luis Diaz, who is attracting interest from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and even Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. Although Liverpool insist Diaz is not for sale, reports suggest the Colombian is pushing for a move.
