Liverpool are making major moves in the transfer market, reportedly optimistic about securing both Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike in a stunning double deal worth £205.5 million. They are also nearing a sixth summer signing.
Having already splashed nearly £200 million on five new players — Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Freddie Woodman, and Armin Pecsi — the Reds remain active, especially as they prepare for the potential departure of Darwin Nunez to the Saudi Pro League.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have tabled a £120 million offer for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, who is open to a possible move to Anfield. Should Newcastle reject the bid, Liverpool plan to pursue Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, despite having an earlier €80 million offer turned down.
German outlet BILD reports that Liverpool are hopeful of pulling off a surprise by signing both forwards — with a potential total cost of £120 million for Isak and £86.5 million for Ekitike.
Meanwhile, the club is also in advanced negotiations to acquire Salford City’s young forward Will Wright, who is expected to become their sixth signing of the summer.
