Hansi Flick Explains Rashford’s Early Substitution in Barcelona Win
Hansi Flick has shed light on the decision to withdraw Marcus Rashford shortly after bringing him on during Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Vissel Kobe.
Rashford was introduced at the start of the second half but was taken off again in the 78th minute. After the match, Flick clarified: “We’re being very cautious with Marcus. He’s just come back from injury and hasn’t fully resumed ball training.”
The English forward had been sidelined with a groin injury late in the 2024/25 season, which forced him to miss the final stretch of games.
Despite limited action, Rashford impressed in his Barcelona debut and contributed well to Roony Bardghji’s goal.
