Barcelona left shell shocked as star ‘ready to leave the club’ after receiving life-changing offer he can’t refuse

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski could make a sensational U-turn and leave the club this summer after receiving a huge offer of €50m per year

Robert Lewandowski, who turns 37 later this month, remains under contract with Barcelona until next summer, having joined from Bayern Munich in 2022.

Despite his advancing years, the prolific striker has thrived at the Catalan club, netting 42 goals in just 52 matches across all competitions last season. His strong form made it seem almost certain he would stay at the Nou Camp for the upcoming season, a commitment he confirmed in a June interview with BILD.

“It’s not an issue for me. I’ll be here next season. My focus is entirely on Barcelona,” he told supporters. “Our team will be stronger next year, and I feel physically great.”

To silence concerns about his age, Lewandowski even shared his biological age. “I monitor it regularly: at the moment, my biological age is 30. That matches how I feel,” he said. “Ultimately, it’s about what my heart and mind are telling me.”

Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona may not be as certain as previously thought, with a massive offer from Saudi Arabia reportedly on the table.

Spanish outlet El Nacional claims the striker has been approached with a two-year deal worth around €100 million, along with additional perks for him and his family, prompting doubts about his earlier commitment to stay. The club behind the proposal has not yet been identified.

Within Barcelona, there is said to be some unease over the situation. Lewandowski remains central to Hansi Flick’s plans, even after the arrival of Marcus Rashford, and sporting director Deco is eager for a swift resolution so the club can make informed transfer decisions.
