Mo Salah Slams Liverpool Account Over ‘Disrespectful’ Alexander Isak Post

Mohamed Salah has slammed a Liverpool account on social media over what he described as a ‘disrespectful’ post.

Liverpool have enjoyed one of the busiest transfer windows in their history, breaking records to reshape Arne Slot’s squad ahead of the new campaign.

Despite finishing last season as Premier League champions, the Reds still pushed for reinforcements and smashed the British transfer record twice — first with the signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, and then with Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

They were not the only arrivals. Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni and Hugo Ekitike also joined Anfield, underlining the scale of Liverpool’s summer overhaul.

The shake-up also saw some major departures. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez all left the club, along with several fringe players including Jarell Quansah, Tyler Morton, Ben Doak, Harvey Elliott and Nat Phillips.

The changes sparked plenty of debate among fans. Popular Liverpool account Anfield Edition posted a graphic featuring Díaz, Núñez, Wirtz and Isak with the caption: “Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history.”

Mohamed Salah, however, wasn’t impressed with the tone of the post. The Egyptian forward responded: “How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher later weighed in with a subtle reply to Salah’s tweet — simply posting a heart emoji.

Luis Díaz, 28, brought his time at Anfield to an end this summer after sealing a €70 million move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Darwin Núñez also departed, with the Uruguayan striker opting for a switch to the Saudi Pro League, joining Al Hilal in a deal valued at around €53 million.

Despite the high-profile exits, Liverpool have made a flawless start to the new Premier League season. Arne Slot’s side have won all three of their opening fixtures, defeating Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Arsenal.

After the international break, the Reds return to action against newly promoted Burnley, who will look to halt Liverpool’s perfect record when the two sides meet at Turf Moor.
