Chilly farewell Chelsea fans slam ‘disgusting’ treatment of Chilwell as sale leaves one star remaining from Champions League winning XI

Chelsea Fans Slam Club Over ‘Disgusting’ Treatment of Ben Chilwell After Shock Strasbourg Exit

Chelsea supporters have erupted in fury after Champions League hero Ben Chilwell was bundled into the club’s “bomb squad” alongside unwanted stars like Raheem Sterling before being quietly sold to sister club Strasbourg.

Reports revealed that Chilwell, Sterling, Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka and Lesley Ugochukwu were forced to train, change, and even eat away from Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad. Fans branded the move “disrespectful” and “disgusting”, insisting the England international deserved far better after his role in Chelsea’s greatest modern triumph.

In an emotional farewell video, Chilwell admitted:

“Of course it’s not the way I would have loved things to have ended here after such great memories.”

Chelsea’s official Instagram account replied with a simple “Good luck, Chilly” — but the comment only inflamed supporters further. One wrote: “Shame how you treated him in the end. Deserved much better.” Another added: “The best LB in the world treated like s**t for no reason!”

Yet while some condemned the club, others defended the decision, pointing out fans had long called for a rebuild.

Meanwhile, current captain Reece James and several ex-teammates paid heartfelt tributes to the 27-year-old defender, who leaves Stamford Bridge as one of the few remaining links to the club’s 2021 Champions League glory.
