GARDEN OF EDEN Chelsea Files: Ambitious clause in Estevao’s Blues contract and the academy wonderkids making waves for England

EDEN HAZARD RETURNS TO CHELSEA

Eden Hazard will step out at Stamford Bridge in Chelsea colours for the first time since leaving the club in 2019.

The Belgian icon has visited since his departure—most notably when Chelsea beat Real Madrid in the 2021 Champions League semi-final second leg before going on to lift the trophy against Manchester City. But this October, fans will once again see him playing in blue.

Hazard is set to feature in the Chelsea Legends vs Liverpool Legends match on October 11th at Stamford Bridge—a fitting stage for a player often celebrated as the heart of the club’s so-called “Garden of Eden.”

The winger has plenty of memorable moments against Liverpool, with his stunning Carabao Cup strike at Anfield—when he danced past five defenders before drilling the ball into the far corner—standing out as one of his most iconic goals in English football.

He’ll be joined by Chelsea greats including John Terry, Roberto Di Matteo, Ramires, Joe Cole, Katie Chapman, Carlo Cudicini, William Gallas, and Gemma Davison. Together, they’ll be looking to avenge the Blues’ 2–0 loss to Liverpool Legends at Anfield earlier this year.

The event will raise funds for the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust, ensuring a night of nostalgia also supports important causes.

Hazard remains a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge, where banners have long honoured his legacy. His return is sure to be an emotional occasion for supporters eager to celebrate one of Chelsea’s all-time greats back where.
