Liverpool Could Bring Back Familiar Faces – Elliott and Doak on the Radar 👀🔴

Liverpool Eye Shock Returns for Elliott & Doak 🔴

Liverpool may not be finished with some of their recent departures. Reports suggest the Reds could re-sign Harvey Elliott as early as next summer — and he may not be the only familiar face back at Anfield.

Elliott’s deadline-day switch to Aston Villa included a £35m obligation to buy, but Liverpool smartly inserted a buy-back clause. At just 22, the midfielder fell down the pecking order following Florian Wirtz’s arrival, yet his talent remains highly valued on Merseyside.

Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness even revealed Liverpool safeguarded a similar option with Ben Doak, who joined Bournemouth permanently for £20m plus add-ons. Both players could be brought back for fixed fees.

“Both players have very reasonable buy-back clauses. Elliott is still highly regarded at Anfield. The club just felt he wasn’t physically ready, but the talent and admiration are definitely there,” Wyness told Football Insider.
“Don’t be surprised if Liverpool move for him again.”

Wyness also suggested Elliott’s exit caused internal disagreement at the club, with some voices firmly against the deal — a factor that could accelerate a reunion if he shines at Villa.

The Guehi Dilemma ⚔️

While Liverpool plot possible comebacks, they face frustration elsewhere. Their late push for Marc Guehi collapsed after Palace boss Oliver Glasner refused to approve a sale without securing a replacement.

Now, the competition is fierce: both Real Madrid and Juventus are circling. Sources warn Guehi could even walk away on a free transfer, raising fears that Liverpool could miss out on another defensive priority while European giants pounce.

👉 Could Elliott and Doak return to Anfield in 2025? And will Guehi be wearing white in Spain or black-and-white in Italy instead of Liverpool red? The answers could play a defining role in shaping Arne Slot’s next era.
