Liverpool Eye Michael Olise as Bayern Slap £100m Price Tag on Rising Star
Bayern Munich have placed a £100 million valuation on Michael Olise, amid strong interest from Liverpool and other top European clubs, according to Football Insider.
Olise joined Bayern from Crystal Palace for £50.8 million last summer and has enjoyed a breakout first season, registering 20 goals and 23 assists. His rapid rise has put him firmly on the radar of elite clubs across Europe, with Liverpool identifying him as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, whose long-term future at Anfield remains uncertain.
Sources suggest Bayern will fight to keep the 23-year-old, who is under contract until 2029, but a blockbuster fee will be required to even open negotiations. The £100m asking price is seen as a starting figure that could increase further in the future.
“Liverpool aren’t alone in tracking Olise—every major club will be watching him,” one insider revealed. “But Bayern won’t sell easily. It would take at least £100m for them to consider it.”
Olise’s form has more than justified Bayern’s investment and positioned them to potentially double their money should they cash in. His rise also coincides with Bayern’s other transfer dealings, including the £60m signing of Luis Diaz from Liverpool and a loan-to-buy move for Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.
Bayern’s financial outlook may improve further, with president Uli Hoeness confirming conditions in the Jackson deal that could see him return to Chelsea, saving the German club £56.2m. That flexibility could make Bayern even more determined to hold onto Olise—or raise his price well beyond £100m.
