Liverpool forward Jayden Danns has suffered a fresh injury blow after being forced off during the under-21sโ Premier League 2 clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday.
The 19-year-old, who captained the side on the day, was withdrawn just past the half-hour mark in a match that ended 3-2 in Ipswichโs favour.
As reported by the Liverpool ECHO, Danns will undergo scans to determine the severity of the problem, but he has already been ruled out of Liverpoolโs upcoming Champions League tie against Galatasaray.
It marks a frustrating setback for the youngster, who has been edging closer to first-team involvement. Earlier this month, Danns was named on the bench for Liverpoolโs 3-2 European win over Atletico Madrid and made a late appearance in the League Cup victory against Southampton at Anfield last week.
