Flick Reacts to Defeat Against Paris
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick admitted his side fell short of expectations in their loss to Paris, conceding that the French side deserved the victory.
๐๏ธ Flick: โIn the first half we played much better than in the second. Paris produced some wonderful football. We werenโt at our top level today โ and against an opponent like this, thatโs essential.โ
Despite the disappointment, Flick acknowledged the result was fair.
๐๏ธ Flick: โThey deserved the win. Itโs tough to accept, but we have to.โ
On his midfield duo, he stressed the importance of managing minutes:
๐๏ธ Flick: โPedri and Frenkie have played a lot recently. Itโs important that they get rest, because in the end, the team always comes first.โ
The German coach insisted he still has full faith in his squad:
๐๏ธ Flick: โI believe in my players. Today wasnโt one of our best days, but we will work harder to reach our highest level. This is football โ sometimes you lose. But weโll keep training, take notes, and come back stronger.โ
Flick also commented on the controversy surrounding Nuno Mendesโ second yellow card:
๐๏ธ Flick: โWould it have changed the match? We donโt know. The fourth referee told us that the mistake was by player number 8 (Ruiz). I didnโt see the incident clearly, but thatโs the information I was given.โ
