Liverpool will go into tomorrow’s clash with Chelsea without several important players, as injuries continue to affect Arne Slot’s squad.

Injuries continue to trouble Arne Slot’s Liverpool side ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea. First-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been ruled out after sustaining a hamstring injury during the Champions League defeat to Galatasaray. The Brazilian is not expected back until after the international break, meaning summer signing Giorgi Mamardashvili will start at Stamford Bridge.

Up front, Hugo Ekitike is a concern after being forced off in midweek with discomfort. While the setback is not thought to be serious, the striker is unlikely to be risked this weekend. Federico Chiesa also remains doubtful, having missed the Galatasaray fixture with a minor muscle issue. His availability will be decided closer to kick-off.

Defensively, the Reds are without Giovanni Leoni for the remainder of the season after the young centre-back underwent surgery on an ACL injury sustained against Southampton. His absence leaves added responsibility on senior defenders Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté.

With Liverpool looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats, the loss of key players poses a challenge. Slot, however, will hope his remaining options can step up and deliver a crucial result in west London.
