FIFA has officially SACKED the referees and officials involved in the controversial Barcelona vs Sevilla clash!

FC Barcelona’s unbeaten run in La Liga has come to an end today, as Sevilla stunned the Catalan giants on a tense Sunday afternoon.

From the opening whistle, it was evident that Hansi Flick’s men were not at their best. The hosts, Sevilla, controlled the tempo, showing more energy and determination throughout the first half. Their early dominance paid off when a VAR review awarded them a penalty.

Barça captain Ronald Araújo was at fault, leaving his leg out in a reckless challenge that forced the referee to consult the sidelines. His disbelief was clear as the decision went against him.

Former Barcelona forward Alexis Sánchez stepped up and coolly converted the penalty, giving Sevilla a deserved lead. The goal failed to wake Barça, who continued to struggle as Sevilla carved open their defense with alarming ease.

Isaac nearly doubled the advantage before halftime but missed from close range. He made up for it moments later, finishing off a swift counterattack to make it 2-0, sending the home crowd into wild celebration.

The Ramon Sánchez Pizjuán roared with delight—until Marcus Rashford gave Barcelona a glimmer of hope in stoppage time. The Englishman struck in the seventh minute of added time to cut the deficit to 2-1.

That late goal could be the turning point. The question now is whether Flick’s side can rally in the second half—or watch their place at the top of La Liga slip away.
