Barcelona tear Greek Champions to shreds in Champions League before El Clasico

Barcelona Thrash Olympiacos 6–1 in Champions League Showcase

Barcelona delivered a dominant performance at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, cruising to a 6–1 victory over Greek champions Olympiacos in their third UEFA Champions League group-stage match of the season.

The hosts came flying out of the blocks, with Fermín López scoring twice in the first half to give Barça control. Despite their early dominance, some sloppy defending allowed Olympiacos to create dangerous chances before the break.

The visitors started the second half brightly and were rewarded when El Khabi converted from the penalty spot to pull one back. But from there, Barcelona turned on the style.

Lamine Yamal restored the two-goal cushion with a composed penalty before Marcus Rashford struck twice in quick succession. López then completed his hat-trick, sealing a memorable night for the Catalans.

As the final whistle blew, the Montjuïc crowd erupted in celebration — a six-goal statement that sees Barcelona move up to six points in the Champions League group, recovering strongly after their earlier defeat to PSG.

It’s a perfect confidence boost for Xavi’s side, coming just days before the El Clásico showdown this weekend.
