According to Football Insiderโs Inside Track podcast, Scotland captain Andy Robertson is thoughtfully considering his next steps as the 2025โ26 season approaches its conclusion.
Sources familiar with the matter indicate that a January departure from Liverpool is improbable, with the defender remaining patient amid ongoing contract negotiations. Although a return to his childhood club Celtic appears unlikely next summer, the possibility of a future move hasnโt been dismissed entirely.
The podcast stated:

At the same time, Milos Kerkezโs inconsistent performances since joining from Bournemouth could impact Liverpoolโs stance. Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown suggested that manager Arne Slot may be troubled by the Hungarianโs lack of form.
Should Kerkez fail to progress, Liverpool might opt to retain Robertson and speed up contract negotiations to ensure they donโt lose their seasoned left-back
