Incase you missed it below. Liverpool are ready to make a move for Antoine Semenyo in January and believe he would prefer a move to Liverpool rather than Arsenal

Liverpool ‘Preparing Offer’ for Bastoni as Real Madrid and Man City Monitor Szoboszlai

Liverpool’s Premier League title defence is quickly unraveling after a 3–0 defeat to Manchester City, their fourth consecutive away loss — a run they haven’t endured since 2012. With just 11 games played, Arne Slot’s men sit eight points behind leaders Arsenal and have slipped to eighth in the table, sparking serious questions about the direction of their season.

As the November international break offers a brief pause, the focus has already turned to the January transfer window, where Liverpool could look to reinforce key areas of the squad amid growing pressure to revive their campaign.

Liverpool ‘Preparing’ €100m Offer for Alessandro Bastoni

According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are readying a substantial bid for Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni.

The Reds are reportedly prioritising defensive reinforcements following the long-term injury to Giovanni Leoni and ongoing speculation around Ibrahima Konaté’s potential exit next summer.

Bastoni, who remains under contract at the San Siro until 2028, is considered a vital part of Simone Inzaghi’s side. However, Liverpool are said to be “aware of his value” and are preparing an offer in the region of €100 million (£88m) to test Inter’s resolve.

Szoboszlai ‘Monitored’ by Real Madrid and Manchester City

Elsewhere, AS reports that both Real Madrid and Manchester City are closely monitoring Dominik Szoboszlai’s situation at Anfield.

The 25-year-old midfielder — signed from RB Leipzig in 2023 — has been one of Liverpool’s standout performers, but the club are reportedly concerned about his contract and long-term future.

Currently earning around €130,000 (£114,000) per week, Szoboszlai’s wages are said to be modest compared to peers at other elite European clubs. As a result, Liverpool are eager to extend his deal until 2030 and reward his performances with an improved salary.

Despite external interest, Szoboszlai has maintained his commitment to the team and has been widely tipped as a future Liverpool captain.

Speaking to ESPN, the Hungarian international said:

“We have enough leaders with Virgil, Mo, Robbo, and Ali — they’ve been here for years. I just try to do my best on the pitch. If it seems like I’m a leader, then I’ll keep doing that on the pitch, not outside of it.”

What’s Next for Liverpool?

Liverpool return to Premier League action on November 22, hosting Nottingham Forest at Anfield. Slot’s side will be hoping to rediscover their rhythm and close the gap on the top four as speculation surrounding potential January moves intensifies.

With Bastoni now emerging as a defensive target and major clubs circling around Szoboszlai, Liverpool’s winter transfer window could prove pivotal in shaping the remainder of their season — and perhaps their long-term rebuild under Arne Slot.
