Wolves manager Rob Edwards didn’t hold back in his praise for Amad Diallo, singling him out as the Manchester United player who completely derailed Wolves’ tactical approach during their 4–1 loss at Molineux.
Edwards said Diallo’s speed, awareness, and off-the-ball movement caused the biggest issues for his side all night. Even with tight marking and multiple tactical adjustments, the winger repeatedly found dangerous spaces and consistently threatened in transition.
The Wolves boss added that several of his players were talking about Diallo’s display in the dressing room after the match — and Edwards himself made a point of approaching the United winger at full-time to acknowledge how much damage he caused.
This praise comes despite strong showings from Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo, yet Edwards was firm in his belief that Diallo was the most decisive player on the pitch.
Diallo’s impressive outing only strengthens the growing belief among Manchester United fans that he is becoming a key figure in Ruben Amorim’s evolving attacking system.
