Newcastle United respond to Bruno Guimaraes’ 12-word message to fans following Arsenal’s victory with the phrase “I hope.”

Bruno Guimaraes has shared a heartfelt message with Newcastle United supporters following his team’s 1-0 win over Arsenal. Alexander Isak’s first-half goal was enough to secure the victory at St James’ Park, despite Newcastle conceding significant possession. However, they effectively neutralized Arsenal’s threats, especially from set pieces. Having already defeated Chelsea in the Carabao Cup that week, Eddie Howe’s squad is heading into their next match against Nottingham with renewed confidence.

Guimaraes, who was rested during the Chelsea match, made a vital impact against Arsenal before being substituted late on as Howe shifted to a back five to maintain their lead. After the game, he took to social media, posting, “I hope that one day you will comprehend the extent of my affection for you.” Newcastle United’s official account responded by sharing his message, saying, “We LOVE you,” alongside a photo of Guimaraes kissing the club’s crest.

With his growing influence, Guimaraes was named team captain before the season began and is now part of the leadership group alongside Dan Burn, Callum Wilson, Kieran Trippier, Jamaal Lascelles, and Jacob Murphy, who missed the match due to a minor hamstring injury.
