“Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs De Ligt were outstanding at the back,” Van Nistelrooy told Sky Sports, emphasizing their role in neutralizing Chelsea’s attack.
Mazraoui delivered an exceptional performance, earning the Man of the Match title, but the front three struggled to create opportunities, with United appearing lackluster in attack.
Marcus Rashford started strong but declined after switching wings with Alejandro Garnacho—a tactical change by Van Nistelrooy that raised some eyebrows.
