Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has fully returned to training after recovering from an ankle injury. The Norwegian midfielder has been sidelined since early September when he suffered ligament damage during Norway’s Nations League win over Austria. While manager Mikel Arteta had been hopeful of Ødegaard’s return before the international break, it’s expected that he won’t be rushed back into action immediately. Arsenal shared photos of Ødegaard training with the team ahead of their Champions League clash with Inter Milan.
It remains unclear whether he will be included in the squad for the match in Italy. An official club statement confirmed, “Our captain has missed two months due to the ankle injury sustained while on international duty with Norway in September. He has not played in our last 12 matches but has now rejoined the squad for Champions League preparations against Inter Milan.”
