Man Utd: Could Paul Pogba’s Return Be the Solution? ‘Perfect’ Fit for Arsenal as a Replacement for Their ‘Lost’ Star

Should Manchester United consider re-signing Paul Pogba? The 31-year-old French midfielder, currently serving a doping suspension, has been touted to return with a fresh sense of determination and “super motivation.”

Pogba’s history with Manchester United has been anything but straightforward. After progressing through the club’s youth ranks, he left for Juventus on a free transfer due to conflicts with then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson. At Juventus, Pogba flourished, earning a high-profile return to United in 2016 for £86m. However, his second stint at Old Trafford was inconsistent, plagued by off-field issues, which led to his departure for Juventus again in 2022 on another free transfer.

Since his return to Italy, Pogba’s career has been turbulent. A series of injuries kept him out for much of the 2022/23 season, and he was eventually handed a four-year doping ban after testing positive for non-endogenous testosterone. After appealing the decision, his suspension was reduced to 18 months, allowing him to begin training in January 2025 and return to play in March.

With Juventus reportedly eager to offload Pogba, speculation about a potential Premier League return is growing. Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit has suggested Pogba could be a good fit for Arsenal, claiming his unique skills would make him “perfect” to replace one of the team’s key players.
