According to the Catalan newspaper *Sport*, the incident occurred in the locker room during the break. Frenkie de Jong, who had been fouled multiple times in the first halfโonce on his shin and once on his ankleโwas reportedly concerned that these challenges might worsen his previous injury.
De Jong had been out for five months due to an ankle issue before making his return on October 1. However, he is still recovering and was understandably upset by the fear of re-injury.
