Liverpool has started the negotiations to sign the best forward in the world at the moment
Liverpool’s board has officially begun talks to sign Omar Marmoush, the exceptional striker from Eintracht Frankfurt, who has been in outstanding form in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists so far.
According to German reports, the Egyptian forward has chosen to move to Liverpool, despite significant interest from several top European clubs.
One of the key factors behind his decision is the influence of his national team captain, Mohamed Salah. Salah, a key player for Jurgen Klopp’s squad, could play a major role in the development of another Egyptian talent, similar to how Klopp’s leadership helped Salah thrive after his own move to Liverpool in the 2017/2018 season.
On November 10, 2024, in Stuttgart, Omar Marmoush celebrated his goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in their 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. The Egyptian striker’s incredible form has helped Frankfurt secure third place in the league ahead of the international break. Marmoush has also impressed in other competitions, with 14 goals and 10 assists in just 16 appearances this season.
Notably, the only other player to record 10+ goals and 10+ assists in the 2024/25 season is Mohamed Salah, suggesting that the addition of another Egyptian forward to Liverpool could greatly benefit the team.
Recent reports indicate that if Liverpool wants to secure Marmoush’s signature, they may need to offer between €50 million and €60 million to convince Eintracht Frankfurt to part with their star player.
Liverpool’s summer transfer window was less impressive compared to other Premier League clubs, but the acquisition of the 25-year-old forward would be a significant boost for the Reds, making him a highly anticipated signing for fans.
Marmoush’s European journey began in 2017 when he joined Wolfsburg, where he spent seven years before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023. In his final season with Wolfsburg, he scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 29 games, and has continued to impress since his move.
The forward has also been a key figure for Egypt, starting in each of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and is expected to play an important role in his national team’s ambitions.
As the transfer saga unfolds, Liverpool fans are hopeful that Marmoush could become a world-class addition, bringing excitement and quality to Anfield in the near future.
