Barcelona Prepares for Star’s Departure in January to Register Dani Olmo

Reports indicate that Barcelona is preparing to part ways with a first-team player, following a decision by club president Joan Laporta. The team continues to struggle with financial fair play regulations imposed by La Liga, which will force them to sell a key player in January.

According to *Sport*, the club has made a decision regarding Danish defender Andreas Christensen, who has been sidelined by injury but is expected to return to action in January. The report suggests that there is growing support within the club for including Christensen on the list of players to depart in January 2025. With his contract set to expire the following year and no plans for renewal, his departure seems like the most practical solution.

Additionally, the move is likely aimed at creating room in the squad to register Dani Olmo, a player the club is eager to include. Christensen himself had previously requested that Barcelona prioritize registering Olmo in his place due to his own ongoing injury.
