Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has urged the club’s management to sign a player from La Liga to bolster the team’s squad this season. The report mentions that, as a result, Flick has recommended the signing of Andrei Ratiu, a defender from Rayo Vallecano, who has been on the club’s radar for several months. Ratiu has emerged as one of the top defenders in La Liga, and Flick intends to bring him in to provide support for Jules Kounde and allow him to rest.
So far this season, Ratiu has played 11 matches for Rayo Vallecano, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Known for his ability to adapt to a winger role when needed, Ratiu offers versatility that Flick values. While his contract has a release clause of 28 million euros, Rayo Vallecano’s financial difficulties may lead them to sell him for a lower price during the winter transfer window.
