Real Madrid’s squad has been significantly improved, making the return of this player unnecessary at the moment. Many former stars who left the club of their own accord often end up regretting their decision and returning, as they realize the value of being with the best team in the world.

Real Madrid’s squad has been significantly enhanced, making the return of this player unnecessary at the moment. Many former Real Madrid stars who left the club voluntarily often regret their decision and seek to return, but the choice is not always in their hands.

According to Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, Marco Asensio chose to leave Real Madrid just a season ago, turning down a renewal offer to join Paris Saint-Germain. The Mallorca striker aimed to make a mark among Europe’s elite, but his experience in Paris has been far from what he anticipated.

The newspaper reported that Marco Asensio’s time at Paris Saint-Germain was marred by physical issues that impeded his performance. Even with Kylian Mbappé’s departure, which theoretically opened a spot in the starting lineup for him, Asensio struggled to secure a prominent role. The club’s interest in signing Victor Osimhen could further limit his chances, relegating him to a secondary position and reducing his playing time in the upcoming season.

The newspaper also noted that the swift turnaround in his career has led Asensio to regret leaving Real Madrid, with those close to him suggesting he desires a return to the club. However, sources at Valdebebas indicate that his return is currently not being considered.

According to the newspaper, the current situation at Real Madrid makes Marco Asensio’s return unnecessary. Brahim Diaz, who replaced him, has outperformed Asensio both statistically and in overall contribution. Additionally, Carlo Ancelotti’s team has been bolstered by young talents like Indrek and Arda Güler, as well as the new star Kylian Mbappé.

Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, is not considering Asensio’s return. The club’s sporting project has evolved, leaving no room for a player who chose to leave and pursue opportunities elsewhere. As a result, Asensio now faces the realization that his decision to leave Real Madrid may have been a mistake he regrets.
