BREAKING NEWS: “Enough is enough! From all we’ve seen this season, he’s been a shadow of himself. Costly errors, poor performances, and constant mistakes have left we and the fans frustrated and the team vulnerable. If anyone should be first out the door this January transfer window, it’s him. The club must act swiftly—sell him and bring in this proven Premier League star. Jamie Carragher urges Liverpool to sign Premier League star to solve Liverpool star issues.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has criticized Andy Robertson’s recent performances, especially after his costly errors contributed to Liverpool dropping points against Fulham on Saturday.

Robertson’s difficulties began early in the match when he was subjected to a strong challenge from Fulham’s Issa Diop. While some believed the tackle deserved a red card, both the referee and VAR disagreed. Soon after, Robertson’s poor defensive positioning allowed Andreas Pereira to score, giving Fulham an unexpected lead at Anfield.

The situation worsened for the Liverpool left-back just six minutes later, when a heavy touch lost possession to Harry Wilson, who then advanced towards goal. Robertson’s desperate attempt to recover resulted in a foul outside the box, earning him a straight red card for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Liverpool were forced to play with 10 men for the rest of the match.

Although Cody Gakpo equalized early in the second half, Fulham regained the lead in the 76th minute through Muniz. Just when it seemed Liverpool might suffer their second home defeat of the season, Diogo Jota scored a late goal to earn a draw.

Carragher Calls for a New Left-Back

Following Robertson’s struggles, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has called for the club to sign a new left-back, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez identified as an ideal target. Speaking on Sky Sports (via Daily Mail), Carragher said:

“(Against Fulham) He didn’t seem to be sprinting properly after that earlier knock, and his poor touch led to the red card. He needs support. Liverpool lacks solid back-up, and they must address this in January.”

Carragher praised Kerkez, stating:

“Kerkez has been fantastic at Bournemouth. The technical director who brought him to the club (Richard Hughes) is now Liverpool’s sporting director. Kerkez is aggressive, a true full-back, and has been excellent since joining the Premier League. He’s one to keep an eye on.”

Robertson’s Continuing Struggles

This isn’t the first time Robertson has looked off form this season. He conceded sloppy penalties against Southampton last month and against Real Madrid, though Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher saved both, preventing further embarrassment.

While Robertson remains a key player in Liverpool’s recent success and is still a fan favorite, concerns about his form have grown, leading some to believe it might be time for the club to find a long-term replacement.

Milos Kerkez is a strong candidate, but Liverpool have also been linked with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies as another high-profile option to strengthen the left-back position.
