FC Barcelona Rejects $270 Million Bid For Thier Star Boy Lamine Yamal from Premier league Club

Prior to the ongoing European Championship, FC Barcelona rejected a $270 million (€250 million) offer, which would have set a new record for a transfer fee. This information was reported by the Spanish news agency EFE, citing unnamed sources within the Catalan club.

Lamine’s remarkable goal for Spain against France in the semifinals on Tuesday has generated significant excitement across Europe.

Kolo Muani’s header gave France the lead in the eighth minute, but Kylian Mbappe’s team was eventually defeated after Lamine equalized in the 21st minute. Dani Olmo then scored to give Spain a 2-1 lead, which they maintained until the end of the match.

After Neymar’s departure from FC Barcelona in 2017, he signed a contract with his new team that featured a $1.082 billion (€1 billion) release clause.

Barcelona was confident that Neymar was well-protected by this clause, expecting that any team wishing to acquire him would need to pay €222 million ($240 million) to release him from his contract at Camp Nou.

However, Paris Saint-Germain, disregarding this valuation, paid the hefty sum and shattered the world transfer record to secure Neymar, significantly impacting the transfer market.

In 2024, the Ligue 1 powerhouse backed by Qatar has shown it is ready to make similar investments to acquire Lamine, whom it sees as the perfect replacement for Mbappe, who is moving to Real Madrid.
