Andres Iniesta reveals the real reasons behind the team’s deteriorating results and its sudden loss of the La Liga lead

Barcelona is currently facing a tough period following an unexpected decline in form in La Liga, which has led to the loss of their top position. Club legend Andrés Iniesta has identified the main reasons for this slump, emphasizing the underperformance of certain players. The team’s recent loss to Atlético Madrid has had a visible effect in the dressing room, with some calling for changes to the starting lineup.

Iniesta, who understands what Barcelona needs to return to success, has proposed a solution to help resolve the crisis. In an interview with Spanish newspaper El Nacional, he suggested that Barcelona should sign a powerful, influential striker to boost their attack, recommending Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting Lisbon as an ideal candidate.

Iniesta praised Gyökeres for his smart movement and finishing ability, which he believes could make a significant impact this season. Additionally, Iniesta urged Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta and head coach Hansi Flick to part ways with “failed player” Robert Lewandowski, whom he believes is contributing to the team’s struggles.

According to El Nacional, Iniesta sees the signing of Gyökeres and the departure of Lewandowski as crucial steps for Barcelona’s recovery, especially in the current difficult situation. The key question now is whether Barcelona’s leadership will act on this advice.
