Andy Robertson reveals ‘unbelievable’ thing Arne Slot does ‘every game’ at Liverpool and it says it all

Andy Robertson revealed what Arne Slot does for every Liverpool game.

On Boxing Day, Liverpool overcame a 1-0 deficit to secure a 3-1 victory over Leicester City, extending their Premier League lead to seven points.

Under manager Slot, Liverpool has now won 22 out of 27 matches and is on track to win their first Premier League title since 2020, and just their second in over 30 years.

After the Leicester win, full-back Robertson praised Slot for making tactical adjustments in every game. “He changes our roles in every match. Tactically, he’s incredible!” Robertson told Premier League Productions. “The manager demands more. We’re not perfect in his eyes, and that’s exactly what we want. We have to play differently from week to week, and we’ve done that all season. We’ve adapted well and must continue. Nothing is won in December.”

Meanwhile, Slot downplayed talk of Liverpool’s Premier League title chances, emphasizing how quickly the season can shift, as seen with Manchester City’s recent struggles. Pep Guardiola’s team has won only one of their last 12 matches in all competitions, following a 1-1 draw with Everton.

Slot commented, “If you’ve been in this game as long as I have, or the players have, you know that at this stage—20 games before the end—you don’t look at it that way. There are many challenges still to come. Just two months ago, we were one point behind City, and look what’s happened there—injuries, bad luck, and a suspension. That can happen to any team.”

He continued, “It’s far too early to start celebrating, but it’s obviously nice to be the team we are. We know we have the ability to do this. However, I don’t think any of these games have been easy wins for us.

“We could have had an easy victory against Tottenham, but we conceded two goals, and it ended 5-3. That shows how tough it is to win, even when all your players are available, let alone if injuries or suspensions come up during the season.

“That’s why we have to take it one game at a time. Winning is important—I felt we should win—but I had the same feeling against Fulham and Nottingham Forest. You always have to work hard in the Premier League.

“We’re aware of the table, but we also know how many games are still left to play.”
