Devastating Blow for Man Utd: Five Key Players Could Miss Liverpool Clash Due to Red Card Controversy and Illness

Manchester United will be boosted by the returns of Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte from suspension ahead of their match against Liverpool.

However, manager Ruben Amorim may still be without five players for the trip to Anfield.

Amorim mentioned in his pre-match press conference that Marcus Rashford remains uncertain due to illness. “He’s still unwell and hasn’t been training,” Amorim said. “At the moment, it looks like he will be unavailable this week.”

Rashford, whose future has been the subject of speculation, was an unused substitute in United’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle and has missed the last four matches altogether.

Furthermore, United will be without Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, and Victor Lindelof due to injuries. Both Mount and Shaw have struggled with recurring setbacks after recently regaining fitness.

Jonny Evans, who missed Monday’s match against Newcastle for unknown reasons, is included in the squad update ahead of the Liverpool game.

Despite receiving a red card against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fernandes will be available after serving a one-match suspension, as his earlier red card against Tottenham was rescinded.

Ugarte also returns to the squad after missing the Newcastle match due to an accumulation of five yellow cards in the Premier League.
