BREAKING: Liverpool Faces Potential Departure of Three Key Players Amidst Growing Ownership Criticism.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah are approaching the final stages of their contracts at Liverpool, with their futures still uncertain.

As they enter the last six months of their current deals, no new agreements have been made, leaving their positions at the club unclear.

Reports indicate that Real Madrid has shown interest in Alexander-Arnold, allegedly making an offer before the transfer window opened, which Liverpool declined. However, new reports suggest that Madrid is now willing to offer £20 million to sign the right-back this month instead of waiting until the summer.

Although Liverpool is unlikely to let key players leave during a title chase, there remains a chance that Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, and Salah could depart as free agents in a few months.

Salah’s Contract Stalemate

Mohamed Salah has been the most vocal about his contract situation, recently admitting that negotiations with Liverpool have stalled, stating there has been “no progress.”

Despite his outstanding form this season, with 21 goals and 17 assists, there are still questions about his future at the club.

Former player Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink criticized Liverpool’s handling of Salah’s contract, suggesting they should consider letting him go due to his age.

“If I were Liverpool’s owner, I’d let Salah leave because of his age,” Hasselbaink said. “He’s turning 33 and asking for a three-year deal, which doesn’t align with the wages he wants.”

Hasselbaink also blamed Liverpool for allowing the issue to drag on, arguing that it should have been addressed sooner.

Meanwhile, reports indicate a possible two-year extension for Salah, though unresolved matters like image rights have delayed the process.

There is still hope, however, that an agreement can be reached, providing a boost to Liverpool’s long-term plans.

Team Focus Over Speculation

Amid the uncertainty, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has emphasized his focus on the team’s performance rather than off-field speculation.

“If something is bothering the players, they know they can talk to me,” Slot said. “Our priority is improving on the pitch, not external rumors.”

With the futures of three key players up in the air, Liverpool faces the challenge of securing new contracts or risking significant departures on free transfers.
