Andreas Christensen is set to return to action for Barcelona ahead of their La Liga clash with Getafe. The defender, who has been out of action since August due to Achilles tendinopathy, has now been cleared to play.
The 28-year-old underwent surgery and has been gradually training with the squad in recent weeks. However, despite being fit again, Christensen was not included in Barcelona’s squad for the Spanish Super Cup or their Copa del Rey match against Real Betis.
After today’s training session, Barcelona confirmed that Christensen has received medical clearance and will be part of the squad for tomorrow’s match at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
