Barcelona eye Jamal Musiala as next star recruit

Barcelona are reportedly targeting Bayern Munich’s creative midfielder Jamal Musiala, with manager Hansi Flick eager to reunite with his former player. Flick, who gave Musiala his debut at Bayern and worked with him as Germany’s national team manager, is keen to bring him to Barcelona.

Musiala is currently in talks with Bayern over a new contract, which is expected to be finalized soon. However, reports suggest that the deal could include a release clause, potentially opening the door for a move to Barcelona or other clubs.

Barcelona’s pursuit of Musiala is complicated by their salary cap, meaning they would need to offload significant wages to afford his likely high salary. The club believes that selling players like Frenkie de Jong could help make the deal feasible.

Although Real Madrid has also been linked to Musiala, they seem to have resigned themselves to the fact that signing him on the cheap, with his contract nearing its end, is unlikely. Musiala has previously spoken highly of Barcelona and idolized Lionel Messi, which could give the club an advantage in any negotiations.
