Pedri, Raphinha, and Yamal are angry about the automatic renewal of the team’s di,sastrous star’s contract after the Las Palmas match

Barcelona, under the leadership of coach Hansi Flick, secured a 2-0 win against Las Palmas at the “De Gran Canaria” stadium in the 25th round of La Liga.

Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres scored Barcelona’s goals in the 62nd and 90+6th minutes. With this victory, the team now tops the Spanish League standings with 54 points, having won 17 matches, drawn 3, and lost 5.

According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski will remain with Barcelona for an additional season after playing 55% of the matches this season, triggering the automatic renewal clause in his contract. His participation in the first half against Las Palmas confirmed his stay at the club until 2026.

However, sources close to the club indicate that Pedri, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha are unhappy with this decision. They believe Lewandowski no longer adds value to the team and that Barcelona needs a younger, more dynamic striker who can apply pressure on opposing defenses—something the veteran forward struggles with due to his age.
