Brazilian star Raphinha Diaz has identified the player he considers the most crucial in Barcelonaβs squad, highlighting his key role and major influence on the teamβs performance.
Barcelona is gearing up to face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, April 2, in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at the Riyadh Metropolitano Stadium. The first leg ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
While many believe Raphinha himself is Barcelonaβs standout player, he surprised everyone by naming young Spanish midfielder Pedri as the team’s most vital player.
Speaking to the press, Raphinha stated: βPedri may not have many assists or goals, but for me, he is the most important player in our squad. Everything flows through him, and it should. When heβs not on the field, something feels missing.β
The Brazilian winger further emphasized: βI believe Pedri is the heartbeat of the team. Heβs among the best players in the world, and I say that with certainty.β
